About Vasco F. Gonçalves

Vasco F. Gonçalves

With over 25 years of experience in vocational education, Information Technology (IT), and computing, I have dedicated my career to helping individuals and organizations adapt to the ever-evolving landscape of technology. My journey began in robotics and passed through the banking sector, but I found my true calling in teaching and empowering others through digital literacy, guiding students from diverse backgrounds, from basic schooling to PhDs.

I am deeply passionate about conceptualizing cutting-edge, forward-looking technologies – often envisioning developments 20+ years ahead – particularly in the realms of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), Mechatronics (Humanoids/Robotics), Information Technology (IT), and Quantum Computing (QC).

In 2016, through SDNC sàrl (closed in September 2024), I conceptualized EVA Smart City (my intellectual property), a project that envisioned humanoid systems governed by an AGI (EVA), interacting seamlessly with urban inhabitants. Although the project faced external challenges and was archived in 2020 due to the pandemic and other systemic disruptions, it reignited my drive to collaborate with emerging scientists and technologists to explore new frontiers in the medical, agricultural, and industrial sectors.

Around 2026, I plan to transition into consulting and training, with a focus on impactful pro-bono or contribution-based projects – potentially within an NGO framework – as time permits, as I also intend to settle down in a new location. I am eager to collaborate with professionals and organizations who share my vision for growth, transformation, and the meaningful application of technology to create lasting, positive change.

I invite you to connect with me as I embark on this next chapter. I look forward to co-creating engaging, effective learning experiences that drive innovation and progress in IT, AGI, and Mechatronics.
